Shock Action is SW7 for Gleneagles after winning Sunday’s Gr3 Niigata Nisai Stakes (1600m).
Shock Action raced in third place behind the clear leader Havasu to the home turn before coming through to go clear 200m out and defeat Blue Symphony (Screen Hero) by 1-3/4 lengths with Phrase D’Armes (Kizuna) a half length away third.
Raced by Godolphin, Shock Action sold for 65,000gns as a Tattersalls December foal and is now the winner of two of his three races.
His dam Reset In Blue (Fastnet Rock) won seven races in Italy, two at Listed level as well as finishing fourth in the Gr1 Premio Lydia Tesio and Gr2 Oaks d’Italia.
She is s three-quarter sister to Gr3 Premio Carlo d’Alessio at Rome winner Romantic Wave (Rock Of Gibraltar) and Criterium de Pisa winner Dematil (Orpen).
Reset in Blue has a colt by Australia as lot 1146 in Book2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Gleneagles has Gr2 winner Royal Dornoch (Danehill Dancer) on a similar Danehill cross as Shock Action.
