I Am Superman is SW65 for Footstepsinthesand winning the Gr2 Shannon Stakes at Rosehill.
The Irish import raced on the speed and turned for home in second place before accelerating clear early in the straight to defeat Riodini (Proisir) by 1-1/4 lengths.
It is the fifth win from 16 starts for the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained I Am Superman.
His dam Fastnet Lady (Fastnet Rock) was unraced and his granddam Mooretown Lady (Montjeu) won in Ireland and runner-up in the Gr3 Pridgewood Pearl Stakes at The Curragh.
The fourth dam Game Plan (Darshaan) won the Gr3 Pretty Polly Stakes and finished runner-up in The Oaks at Epsom.
Irish 2000 Guineas winner Footstepsinthesand (Giant’s Causeway) stands under the Coolmore banner in Ireland and has previously shuttled to the southern hemisphere.
He has done well with mares carrying Danehill (Danzig) with Gr1 winners Pure Champion and Chachamaidee as well as Gr3 winner Sent From Heaven out of Danehill mares.
