Zoetic is SW60 for Kodiac after winning the St Hugh’s Fillies’ Stakes (5f) at Newbury.
Zoetic was last and behind a wall of fillies passing halfway before Oisin Murphy found an opening two furlongs and quickened into the lead inside the final furlong and drawing clear to defeat Fairy Dust (Gregorian) by three-quarters of a length with Carolina Dale (Lethal Force) back in third.
Zoetic sold for £52,000 at the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale to Badgers Bloodstock and races in the colours of Glentree Pastoral.
The James Ferguson-trained Zoetic is a half-sister to the British winner Zenovia, their dam Zallerina (Zamindar) a half-sister to Grand Prix de Clairefontaine winner Surrey Thunder (Le Havre) and Italian Listed placed Sgarzulina (Invincible Spirit).
The third-dam Zarkiya (Catrail) won the Gr3 Prix de Sandringham and placed in the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and Coronation Stakes and a half-sister to Zarkasha (Kahyasi), dam of the unbeaten Gr1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Zarkava (Zamindar), the dam of Gr 1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud winner Zarak (Dubawi).
Kodiac (Danehill) is advertised at €65,000 at Tally Ho Stud in Ireland in 2020.
