A rare feat in France on Thursday with Siyouni siring the first four home in the Listed Prix Ceres (1400m) for 3yo fillies at Fontainebleau.

Honey Cake raced close to the speed from the start, going clear passing halfway and then staying on strongly to defeat Private Romance and Femina in a bunched finish for the placings with Marly fourth.

Siyouni had five runners in the race as well as Ellerslie Lace finishing seventh in the 16-strong field.

Honey Cake is SW43 for Siyouni and is now the winner of four of her eight starts for Henri Pantall after selling twice at Arqana sales, first for €95,000 to Hubert Guy as an August yearling and then to Paul Nataf for €110,000 as a two-year-old in training.

She is the first winner for Pink Anemone (Dansili), a half-sister to Gr2 Prix Chaudenay at Chantilly winner Doha Dream (Shamardal) ads well as Matfog (Style Vendome), a Listed winner over hurdles in France.

The granddam Crystal Reef (King’s Best) is a half-sister to Gr1 Prix du Cadran winner Reefscape (Linamix), Gr2 Prix Chaudenay winner Coastal Path (Halling) and Gr2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil winner and leading jumps sire Martaline (Linamix).

The fourth-dam is Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Bahamian (Mill Reef).

Honey Cake is inbred 3×3 to Danehill and Siyouni also has Listed winner Straight Right bred with a similar duplication.
