39 Gr1 for Fastnet Rock

Dreamforce upset his more fancied rivals to land the Gr1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) on a heavy track at Rosehill.

Dreamforce (pictured) is the 39th Gr.1 winner for Fastnet Rock who also has this year’s New Zealand Derby winner Sherwood Forest.

Fastnet Rock (Danehill) has worked with a range of pedigrees and has three Group 1 winning fillies – Atlantic Jewel, Planet Rock and Avantage – out of mares by Zabeel (Sir Tristram) whose dam is by Nureyev, a three-quarter brother to Fairy King, the maternal grandsire of Dreamforce.

Nureyev also features in the pedigree of Fastnet Rock Gr1 winners One Master, Mosheen, Fascinating Rock, Unforgotten and Age Of Fire.

Dreamforce is one of five winners from Gr.1 Queensland Oaks and Coolmore Classic winner Eskimo Queen (Shinko King), also the dam of Sydney winner and Gr3 Canonbury Stakes runner-up Deep Chill (Deep Field).

Eskimo Queen sold last year at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $400,000 to the bid of Boutique Bloodstock / Paul Willetts.

Eskimo Queen is the best winner in the immediate generations of her female family, Dreamforce’s fifth dam Belle Helene a half-sister to the 1973 West Australian Derby winner Asgard (Oncidium) and the Wellington Guineas winner (Better Honey).
