Even So made most of the running to win Saturday’s Oaks Trial at Naas and is SW31 for Camelot.
Inbred 4×2 to Danehill, Even so held off Laburnum (Galileo) to win by a neck with Silence Please (Gleneagles) a further 2-1/2 lengths away in third.
The win is her second from five starts and she was previously Gr3 placed.
Even So is the best of seven winners left to date by Breeze Hill (Danehill), a winner in New Zealand and a half-sister to The Derby winner and sire Dr Devious (Ahonoora), Gr3 winners Archway (Thatching) and Royal Court (Sadler’s Wells) and Japanese stakes winner Shinko King (Fairy King).
Camelot (Montjeu) has Gr1 winner Wonderment out of a mare by Konigstiger, a grandson of Danehill, as well as Gr3 winners Wait Forever (Holy Roman Emperor), Alounak (Rail Link) and Degraves (Danehill Dancer) out of mares from the sire line.
Camelot is advertised at €40,000 at Coolmore Stud, Ireland, in 2020.
