Big Hearted is SW2 for Hallowed Crown winning Saturday’s Listed Singapore Gold Cup (2000m) at Kranji.
Well back around the home turn, Big Hearted came widest of all in the home straight and finished powerfully to defeat Minister (Street Sense) and Top Knight (Zoustar).
It is the sixth win from 12 starts for Big Hearted, a $120,000 Inglis Melbourne Premier yearling where he was consigned by Blue Gum Farm.
Big Hearted is one of two winners out of Secret Selection (Redoute’s Choice), a three-quarter sister to Flemington Listed winner Detective (Snitzel), also runner-up in the Gr2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
The granddam Covertly (Metal Storm) won six races including the Gr1 Railway Stakes at Ascot as well as the Gr3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes. She is a half-sister to three stakes winners including Gr3 Kevin Hates Stakes at Caulfield winner Crack The Code (I Am Invincible) and Gr3 Colonel Reeves Stakes winner So Secret (Danetime).
Inbred 3×3 to Danerhill, Big Hearted is also SW109 for Redoute’s Choice as a broodmare sire with Hallowed Crown’s sire Street Sense (Street Cry) also the sire of Gr1 winner Politeness out of a mare by Commands (Danehill) as well as Gr3 winner Cosmic Storm out of a mare by Metal Storm (Kenmare)
Hallowed Crown (Street Sense) is advertised at $11,000 at Twin Hills Stud Cootamundra in 2020.
