Suesa is SW18 for Night Of Thunder winning Tuesday’s Prix Yacowlef (1100m) at Chantilly.

Racing prominently in a group of five on the far side of the straight course, Suesa burst clear inside the final 100m to defeat Total Knockout (Exosphere) by two lengths with Night Hunting (Amarillo) the same distance away in third.

Suesa sold for €17,000 as a Goffs yearling from Ballybin Stud to Johnny McKeever and is now unbeaten in two starts for Carlos Laffon-Parias.

A half-sister to French winner Valle Inclan (Elusive Pimpernel), Suesa’s dam Sally Is The Boss (Orpen) is an unraced half-sister to Radley Stakes at Newbury third Sheboygan (Grand Lodge).

The granddam White Satin (Fairy King) placed third in the Listed Tyros Stakes and a half-sister to North American stakes winner Chenille (Tenby) and to Future Treasure (Habitat), the granddam of Irish Listed winner Night’s Cross (Cape Cross).

The third-dam Canton Lightning (Rheingold) placed in the Galtres Stakes at York and a half-sister to Prix de la Foret winner Brocade Habitat), the dam of Gr1 winners Barathea (Sadler’s Wells) and Gossamer (Sadler’s Wells).

Suesa is inbred 4×3 to brothers Sadler’s Wells and Fairy King and Night Of Thunder’s sire Dubawi has Gr2 Celebration Mile winner Afsare out of a mare by Fairy King as well as Australian Gr1 winner Sofia Rosa out of a mare by Encosta de Lago (Fairy King).

Night Of Thunder will stand for €75,000 in 2021.
