Zou Dancer stalked the early speed and was there outside the leader Longduan into the home straight before accelerating away to defeat the VRC Oaks winner Personal (Fastnet Rock) by 4-3/4 lengths with Starelle (More Than Ready) in third.
It is the third win from five starts for the Malua Racing-trained Zou Dancer, a $150,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast purchase by Bennett Racing.
Her dam Investigates (Strategic) is a winning half-sister to Apocrypha (Octagonal), the dam of Gr3-placed Affirmation (Not A Single Doubt) and a three-quarter sister to Gas (Strategic), the dam of Singapore Derby winner Top Spin (Arena).
The granddam Tributes (Quest For Fame) won the Gr1 VRC Oaks and finished second in the Gr1 Australasian Oaks.
