Indian Pacific is SW16 for Zoustar winning Saturday’s R S Crawford Stakes (1000m) at Ascot.
Indian Pacific raced in second place to the home turn before gradually wearing down longtime leader Mervyn (Henny Hughes) to score by a half-head and the fast finishing Stageman (Written Tycoon) in third.
Indian Pacific is a half-brother to five winners including Heavy (Domesday), a winner in Melbourne and placed in the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes for two-year-olds at Sandown and to Sydney winner Anna’s Joy (Wanted).
Their dam Rosarino (Perugino) won the Listed Talindert Stakes at Flemington at two and a half-sister to Gr3 Dane Ripper Stakes Rosa’s Spur (Flying Spur), the dam of Listed Cap d’Antibes Stakes at Flemington winner and Gr2 placed Member’s Joy (Hussonet), herself the dam of Gr2 Percy Sykes Stakes at Randwick winner Pure Elation (I Am Invincible).
Gr1 winner Zoustar (Northern Meteor) shuttles between Widden Stud in Australia and Tweenhills Stud in England, where he is advertised at €30,000.
