Ummalnar is SW151 for Shamardal winning Friday’s Cooley Fillies Stakes (8f) on the all-weather surface at Dundalk.
Chris Hayes had Ummalnar on the lead after a furlong and she was never headed, ridden clear into the home straight and going on to defeat Surrounding (Lilbourne Lad) by six lengths with Pretty In Grey (Brazen Beau) in third.
It is the fourth win from eight starts for the William Haggas-trained Ummalnar, previously Listed placed in England and France.
She is a half-sister to Gr1 Northern Dancer Stakes at Woodbine winner Sheikhzayedroad (Dubawi), their dam Royal Secrets (Highest Honor) a winner in England and a half-sister to Prix Onmium II at Saint-Cloud winner Vernoy (Forty Niner) and to City Maiden, the unraced dam of UAE Gr2 winner First City (Diktat).
The granddam Marble Maiden (Lead On Time) won five races in France and the USA including the Gr2 All Along Stakes at Laurel and the Gr3 Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly.
Classic winner Shamardal died aged 18 at Kildangan Stud in Ireland in April 2020.
