Sunday’s Sha Tin Champions Mile winner Southern Legend is the 14th Gr1 winner for Not A Single Doubt.
A stakes winner in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, Southern Legend is also the highest earner for his sire who was pensioned at Arrowfield Stud due to pulmonary disease earlier this year.
All 14 Gr1 winners are out of mares by different sires.
Bred by George Altomonte’s Corumbene Stud, Southern Legend is 4×4 Danzig with his stakes winning granddam Donna Natalia a daughter of Anabaa. Both Donna Natalia and Southern Legend’s third dam Marskin (Marscay) won the Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick.
