Turaath is SW127 for Oasis Dream winning Saturday’s Gr2 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) for mares at Flemington.
A step slow away, Turaath raced close to the lead in third place before accelerating clear 200m out, going on to defeat Turaath was a length-and-three-quarters clear of Mystic Journey (Needs Further), with Still A Star (Toronado) a neck away in third.
Inbred 3×5 to Danzig, it is the fifth win from 13 starts in England and Australia for the Shadwell Stud-bred four-year-old, sold for 35,000gns as a Tattersalls Horse-in-Training.
Her dam Fadhayyil (Tamayuz) won the Listed City Of York Stakes and finished runner-up in the Gr2 Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket. She is a half-sister to three stakes winners including Listed Prix de Boulogne at Longchamp winner Zipzip (Whipper) and Listed Prix Roland de Chambure at Saint-Cloud winner Cold Stare (Intense Focus). Another half-sister Kestria is the dam of Gr2 Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly winner Miss Extra (Masterstroke).
Turaath’s granddam Ziria (Danehill Dancer) won the Gr3 Prix du Bois and Prix du Petit-Couvert.
