A tendon injury has forced the retirement of Group 2 winner Yes Yes Yes who will take up stallion duties at Coolmore, where he will stand alongside his sire Rubick.
Trainer Chris Waller released a statement Monday morning, confirming the news that vets had found a small lesion in a tendon in his near foreleg.
Yes Yes Yes won his first three starts as a juvenile, highlighted by his win in the Group 2 Todman Stakes, Coolmore subsequently purchased a stake prior to finishing seventh in the Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes.
He raced three times at three, twice finishing runner-up to Bivouac in the Group 2 Run To The Rose and the Group 1 Golden Rose, both at Rosehill, before beating older horses in the A$14m The Everest (1200m) at Randwick in October.
Bred by Arlington Park Racing and a $200,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale graduate, Yes Yes Yes is out of Sin Sin Sin (Fantastic Light) a half-sister to the Group 3 sprint winner Hot As Hell (County) and Listed winners Flaming Hot (County) and Craig’s Dragon (Catbird), as well as the winning dam of dual Group 1 sprint winner In Her Time (Time Thief).
