Last Sunday’s Belmont Stakes winner Tiz The Law will stand at Coolmore’s Ashford Stud after his racing career, it has been announced.
The son of Constitution will continue to run for owners Sackatoga Stable for the remainder of his racing career.
He won the Gr1 Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park at two. Winner of the Gr3 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park on his seasonal reappearance he went on to win the Gr1 Florida Derby at the same venue before last weekend’s Classic success.
Bred by Twin Creeks Farm, he was bought by Jack Knowlton of Sackatoga Stable for $110,000 at the Fasig-Tipton New York-Bred Yearling Sale.
He is out of the Gr2 San Gorgonio Handicap winner Tizfiz (Tiznow), a sister to Gr3 Precisionist Stakes winner Fury Kapcori, and from the same family as Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner and sire Favorite Trick (Phone Trick).
