Supremacy is the second first-crop SW for Mehmas and emulates his sire winning the Gr2 Richmond Stakes (6f) at Goodwood.
The Clive Cox-trained Supremacy raced on speed all the way and was clear two furlongs out, going on to defeat Yazaman (Kodiac) by four lengths with Lauded (Acclamation) in third.
A half-brother to two winners, Supremacy is out of Triggers Broom (Arcano), a half-sister to Hong Kong Champion’s Mile winner Xtension (Xaar), French Listed placed A Huge Dream (Refuse To Bend), the dam of dual Listed winner Mrs Gallagher (Oasis Dream), and Beatrix Potter (Cadeaux Genereux), the dam of Champion sprinter Harry Angel (Dark Angel) and Gr2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury winner Pierre Lapin (Cappella Sansevero).
Mehmas (Acclamation) currently leads the European first-season sires’ list with 14 winners including Supremacy and the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury winner Method.
