Never Been Kissed is the first Gr.1 winner for Tivaci winning Saturday’s Flight Stakes (1600m) for 3yo fillies at Randwick.
The lightly-raced Never Been Kissed raced in fifth place to the final turn where she was delivered to challenge, staying on strongly over the concluding stages to defeat Hinged (Worthy Cause) and score her third win from four starts this season.
She is the first Gr.1 winner from the first-crop of Gr.1 winner Tivaci (High Chaparral), who stands at Waikato Stud in New Zealand and in whose colours Never Been Kissed races.
Never Been Kissed is the first foal of Movie (Savabeel), a winner at Moonee Valley in Melbourne and a sister-in-blood to Gr.1 New Zealand Oaks winner Savvy Coup (Savabeel).
Movie is also a three-quarter sister to Gr.2 Tauranga Stakes winner Ocean Emperor (Zabeel).
The granddam Tootsie (Pins) won the Gr.3 Mannerism Stakes at Caulfield and a sister to Gr.2 Thousand Guineas Prelude at Caulfield winner Legless Veuve and Eudora, the dam of Savvy Coup.
Tootsie is also a three-quarter sister to Far Fetched (Pins), the dam of Gr.1 Epsom Handicap at Randwick winner Probabeel (Savabeel).
Movie has a 2019 colt by Sacred Falls and was covered last season by Ocean Park.
