Breaking smartly, Shaquero settled on the lead and was not headed, going on to defeat Construct (I Am Invincible) and Astrologer (Star Turn).
Shaquero sold to Guy Mulcaster for $160,000 as a Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling where he was offered by Fernrigg Farm.
He is the best winner so far for Fimatino (Not A Single Doubt), a winning half-sister to Singapore Listed winner Ghozi (Catbird) and Sunset Express (Success Express), a winner in Sydney and dam of Gr1 Cox Plate and Australian Guineas winner and sire Shamus Award (Snitzel).
Shaquero’s third-dam From The Wood (Tap On Wood) won the Gr3 Concorde Stakes at Phoenix Park.
Gr1 winner Shalaa (Invincible Spirit) shuttles between Haras de Bouquetot in France and Arrowfield Stud in Australia.
