Going Global is SW6 for Mehmas winning Sunday’s Gr3 Sweet Life Stakes (6f) on turf at Santa Anita.
Settled worse than midfield along the inside soon after the start, Going Global was able to angle clear into the home straight and powered home to defeat Five Pics Please (Cinco Charlie) close home and score by a half length with Nimbostratus (Wootton Bassett) three-quarters of a length further away in third.
Going Global won in Ireland last year before switching to the United States with the Sweet Life her first start stateside.
Her dam Wrood (Invasor) won twice and is a half-sister to Gr3 Criterion Stakes at Newmarket winner Racer Forever (Rahy) and also to Oman Sea (Rahy), the winning dam of Listed Silver Tankard Stakes at Redcar winner Gallic Star (Galileo).
The granddam Ras Sheikh (Sheikh Albadou) a winner in England and three-times Listed placed and a half-sister to Silver Arrow (Shadeed), the granddam of Gr1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner Tiggy Wiggy.
