41 for Street Boss

Anamoe is SW41 for Street Boss winning the Merson Cooper Stakes (1000m) for 2yos at Sandown.

Allowed to balance up around the home turn for the long run in, Anamoe took a little while to find his stride and looked a place chance at best as Forbes sprinted clear 200m out but once switched off heels he hit the rising ground and lengthened his stride to finish powerfully over the top of Forbes (Capitalist) to win cosily with The Art Of Flying (Flying Artie) third.

It is consecutive wins in this race for Godolphin with homebred sons of Street Boss following the success last year of Hanseatic.

Anamoe is a half-brother three winners including Irish Listed winner Anamba (Shamardal), their dam Anamato (Redoute’s Choice) a winner of the Gr1 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville and third in the Gr1 VRC Oaks and American Oaks at Hollywood Park.

Anamato is a half-sister to Gr1 Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield winner Drum (Marauding) as well as Gr1 Queensland Classic runner-up Tambour (Marauding), the dam of seven-time Gr1 winner Grand Armee (Hennessy).

Another half-sister Volte (Marauding), is the dam of Gr1 Rosehill Gns winner Dealer Principal (Flying Spur).
