41 for Le Havre

Karlarina is SW41 for Le Havre winning Friday’s Prix Denisy (3100m) at Saint-Cloud.

Racing in second place to the final turn, Karlarina headed straight to the outside rail on the heavy track and, under a drive from Theo Bachelot, held the persistent challenge of Sheraz (Sea The Stars) to score by three lengths, the pair pulling 20 lengths clear of the third home Pontille (Whipper).

Bred and raced by Chevotel de la Hauquerie, the Stephanie Nigge-trained Karlarina is inbred 4×4 to Konigsstuhl and is now the winner of three of her seven races.

Her dam Karsabruni (Speedmaster) won the Gr3 Hamburger Stutenpreis and the granddam Karsawina (Lando) won twice and finished runner-up in the Listed Prix Max Sicard at Toulouse and a half-sister to German Listed winner Kasumi (Poliglote).

Prix du Jockey-Club winner Le Havre (Noverre) was advertised at €50,000 in 2020 at Haras de Montfort & Preaux.
