Anamoe is the 8th Gr1 winner for Street Boss following an emphatic win in Saturday’s ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Randwick.
Anamoe had been placed in the first two Gr.1 races for two-year-olds in Australia, the Blue Diamond Stakes and the Golden Slipper Stakes and he looked every inch the Champion two-year-old elect with a dominant performance, accelerating past his rivals early in the home straight to win eased down.
Street Boss shuttles under the Darley banner between Kentucky and Victoria where he was advertised at $27,500 last season.
Anamoe’s dam is by Redoute’s Choice and Street Boss has this seasons’s Gr2 winner Arcaded with Redoute’s Choice as her maternal grandsire.
Street Boss has enjoyed good success with mares by another son of Danehill in Exceed And Excel headed by Gr.1 winner Elite Street as well as Gr.3 winners Hanseatic, Tris and Petits Filous.
Street Boss also has Hong Kong Champion Rapper Dragon out of a mare by Danehill Dancer while his sire Street Cry has Gr1 winner Trekking out of a Redoute’s Choice mare and the Melbourne Cup winner Shocking and juvenile Gr1 winner Pride Of Dubai out of Danehill mares.
Anamoe is a half-brother three winners including Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes at Naas winner Anamba (Shamardal), their dam Anamato winner of the Gr1 Australasian Oaks at Morphetteville as well as the Gr2 A V Kewney Stakes at Flemington and the Gr2 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic.
Anamato is a three-quarter sister to Gr2 Spring Stakes at Newcastle winner Mearas (Redoutes Choice) and a half-sister to Gr1 Oakleigh Plate at Caulfield winner Drum (Marauding), Listed winner Port Watch (Star Watch) and to Gr1 Queensland Classic runner-up Tambour (Marauding), the dam of seven-time Gr.1 winner Grand Armee (Hennessy).
