Hukum is SW68 for Sea The Stars after winning the Gr3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes (13f) at Newbury.

Covered up along the inside to the home straight, Hukum came through between horses to quicken into the lead two furlongs out and went on to defeat longtime leader Max Vega (Lope de Vega) by 2-1/2 lengths with Alignak (Sea The Moon) filling third place.

A Shadwell-homebred, Hukum is a half-brother to Kempton winner Kasbaan (Dansili), their dam Listed Prix de Liancourt at Longchamp winner Aghareed (Kingmambo).

The granddam is Gr1 Flower Bowl Stakes and Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf winner Lahudood (Singspiel).

Hukum is 4×3 Mr Prospector and Sea The Stars has enjoyed good success with mares by Kingmambo (Mr Prospector), highlighted by Gr1 winners Cloth Of Stars and Zelzal plus Gr3 winners Chemical Charge and Raabihah.

Champion Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) is advertised at €150,000 at Gilltown Stud in Ireland in 2020.
