Uncle Mo was represented by SWs 63 and 64 on Saturday when Yaupon and Bye Bye Melvin won at Saratoga.
Yaupon is SW64 after remaining unbeaten in the Gr2 Amsterdam Stakes (6f).
Ridden to lead shortly after the start, Yaupon was never headed and went on to defeat Basin (Liam’s Map) by two lengths with Premier Star (Tapiture) the same distance away in third.
A $355,000 Keeneland September yearling, Yaupon failed to sell at $485,000 at the Fasig Tipton Breeze-Up sale in March before selling for $255,000 at last year’s Ocala June Sale and is now unbeaten in three starts.
His dam Modification (Vindication) won three times and finished third in the Gr1 Distaff Stakes at Churchill Downs. She is a half-sister to Gr3 Natalma Stakes winner Sky Alliance (Sky Classic).
The granddam is US Listed winner Swift Alliance (Afleet).
Uncle Mo was represented by SW63 earlier in the day when Bye Bye Melvin landed the Saranac Stakes (8f) on turf, defeating Don Juan Kitten (Kitten’s Joy) by a head.
A half-brother to Gr2 New York Stakes at Belmont winner and Gr1-placed Mean Mary (Scat Daddy), Bye Bye Melvin is out of Gr1 Ashland Stakes winner Karlovy Vary (Dynaformer).
Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie) stands at Ashford Stud in Kentucky.
