Satomi is the 48th Group winner for Teofilo after her victory in Saturday’s Gr2 Grosser Hansa Preis at Hamburg.
Satomi came with her challenge in the home straight and stayed on best to defeat Windstoss (Shirocco) by 1-1/2 lengths with Nikkei (Pivotal) another 1-1/3 lengths further back in third.
Previously a Listed winner of the Hein Bollow Memorial (2200m) at Hannover, Satomi also finished fourth in last year’s Gr1 Preis der Diana.
She is a half-sister to German Listed winner Sword Peintre (Peintre Celebre), their dam Swordhalf (Haafhd) the Champion 2yo Filly in Germany in 2012 when her wins included the Gr3 Preis der Winterkonigen at Baden Baden.
Gr1 winner Teofilo (Galileo) currently has 91 stakes winners from 987 runners.
He is advertised at €40,000 at Kildangan Stud in Ireland in 2020.
