Acklam Express is first-crop SW4 for Mehmas after winning the Roses Stakes (5f) at York.
Running for the fourth time, Acklam Express came out on top to defeat Queen Of Rio (Prince Of Lir) by a nose with Nomadic Empire (Kodiac) a head away third.
It is the third win for Acklam Express which cost €26,000 as a yearling at the Goffs Sportsman’s Sale.
He is a half-brother to Italian sprint winner Camayork (Camacho), their dam York Express (Vale Of York) placed at two in the UK and a half-sister to Haedi, a winner in the UK and dam of Indian stakes winners Multitude (Multidemsional) and Sheryl (Multidimensional).
July and Richmond Stakes winner Mehmas (Acclamation) currently has five stakes performers and 21 winners in his first crop.
