Trueshan is SW3 for Planteur after winning Friday’s Tapster Stakes (12f) at Haydock.
This race was run at a moderate speed through the first half, Trueshan getting up late under Martin Harley to edge Alignak (Sea The Moon) by a short-head and Mountain Hunter (Lonhro) three lengths off in third.
It is the fifth win from eight starts for the Alan King-trained Trueshan, a €8000 Osarus yearling and then sold for 31,000gns as a Tattersalls Breeze-Up.
Trueshan’s granddam is a half-sister to French Listed winner Dom Lurcy.
Planteur’s (pic: Al Shaqab) seven wins included the Gr1 Prix Ganay. The son of Danehill Dancer is advertised at 2500 at Haras le Grand Courgeon in France in 2020.
