15 for Bated Breath

Sunday’s Prix de Cabourg (1200m) at Deauville winner Cairn Gorm is SW15 for Bated Breath.

Always prominent, Cairn Gorm came through to take it up inside the final 100m under Tom Marquand and did best to defeat Jubilation (Acclamation) by a length with Prince Lancelot (Sir Prancealot) third.

Raced and bred by Hunscote Stud, the Mick Channon-trained Cairn Gorm has won all three of his races to date.

A half-brother to a winner, his dam In Your Time (Dalakhani) a three-quarter sister to Gr3 Musidora Stakes at York winner and Gr1 Prix de Diane at Chantilly third Time Away, the dam of Gr2 Prix de Malleret winner Time On and granddam of Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Cursory Glance.

Cairn Gorm’s third dam is the champion Time Charter (Saritamer), whose wins included The Oaks, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Champion Stakes and Coronation Cup.

Gr2 winner and Gr1 placed Bated Breath (Dansili) is advertised at £12,500 at Juddmonte in 2020.
